Joel Danyluk
Business Development & Sales Manager

Joel is the AHLA’s Business Development and Sales Manager. In this role, he focuses on our membership, program sales, and revenue. Joel is also the go-to person for associate members and preferred vendors, and for any advertising and sponsorship opportunities. Prior to joining the AHLA, Joel worked for 5 years at The Travel Corporation where he was the Business Development Manager for Western Canada for Contiki Holidays. During his time there, he was fortunate to travel to close to 50 countries!

Joel grew up playing competitive hockey and is a small town guy who grew up in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He played his way through the junior ranks, winning multiple championships, and ended up earning a scholarship to attend the University of Alberta Augustana Campus in Camrose. As a student he became a resident assistant, served on student council, and studied abroad. After graduation Joel continued with his hockey dream and dipped his toes playing semi-professional hockey in the Southern USA.

Goaltenders are known to be a bit weird and Joel has a unique flare he brings to the AHLA, both professionally and personally. Outside of work he has a passion for baking and cooking and has even brought in some of his grandma’s famous cinnamon buns. Joel is most looking forward to getting to know our members—and don’t worry, he is both a Flames and an Oilers fan!
