An ongoing review of liquor-related policies is being conducted by the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) to ensure the needs of a constantly evolving liquor industry are being met, while also ensuring public safety and benefit to Albertans.

The AGLC is exploring the industry’s preferences regarding whether or not to allow the alteration of liquor products. This could include infused alcoholic beverages and pre-mixing of shooters. The AHLA has submitted a position on the policy, which can be viewed in full here.

The AGLC’s discussion paper on Ferment-on-Premises can be accessed here.
