More than 500 AHLA members have come together to raise over $110,000 for a legal fund to oppose the Town of Fox Creek’s 4% business license fee on hotels. After extensive discussions with hoteliers and the AHLA, the Town of Fox Creek has voted to rescind the bylaw.
“We thank Fox Creek’s council and administration for their willingness to listen and work with our members to resolve this issue,” says AHLA Board Chair Perry Batke. “I would like to personally thank each and every member who contributed to the legal fund, especially in this difficult economy. It really shows the power of association and that we are stronger together.”
“We could not have done this without the support of the AHLA. This is very exciting and refreshing, and I think it shows the power of collaboration and of the AHLA.”
