CIWA Offers Resources to Help Calgary Members

CIWA would like to partner with service industry companies to identify the specific needs and barriers that immigrants face.  CIWA's staff will develop a comprehensive essential skills curriculum that can be implemented in a variety of formats including workshops, integrated into language classes or customized and implemented to the workplace.

Partner businesses will gain:

  • A comprehensive essential skills curriculum that can be customized to their employees and workplace,
  • Eligible employees would have the opportunity to participate in pilot classes/workshops, and
  • “Train the Trainer” training in the use and implementation of the curriculum if desired

The project is funded by CIWA and the Government of Canada.  For more information, contact Tuvshin Uuld, Program Coordinator at (403) 263-4414 ext.158 or by email at tuvshinu@ciwa-online.com.
