What is the Ambassador Program? AHLA will be having an Ambassador Program to pair first time convention attendees and new members with experienced members, to learn what to expect and how to get the most out of the AHLA Convention & Trade Show. If you select “Yes, send me more information on the Ambassador Program” on your registration form, you will be contacted with information about becoming a mentor or mentee. When and where is the AHLA convention being held? The 92nd Annual AHLA Convention & Trade Show is being held April 15th – 17th, 2012 at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Who should attend this event? The AHLA Convention & Trade Show is designed for all levels of staff for fixed roof accommodations and campgrounds of properties of all sizes. You must be a member of the AHLA, in good standing, or an invited guest to attend this annual event.

What does it cost to attend the convention? Full Registration prior to the Early Bird Deadline of March 22nd is $435.00. After March 22nd the cost is $535.00. There are also various fees for individual tickets, which can be accessed here http://www.ahla.ca/convention-and-trade-show/registration/
What methods of payment do you accept? Fees can be paid by VISA, MasterCard or cheque made payable to the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association.
What is included with a Full Registration package? A Full Registration entitles you to all official events that take place from April 15th – 17th. This includes all meals, business sessions, and the trade show.
Can I register while I am at the convention? Yes. On-site registration will be available at the AHLA registration desk in The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge anytime after 2pm on Sunday April 15th.
Do I need to wear a name badge? Yes. Your name badge is your admission to all areas of the convention, including business sessions, meals and trade show. Name badges must be worn at all times.
How do I receive my name badge? You can pick up your registration package, including name badge and delegate bag, on site at the AHLA Registration Desk at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge upon your arrival.
I won’t know the names of the people attending until about one week prior – can I still register? Yes, please complete the registration form and indicate the package or tickets required – name(s) to be advised.
What do I do if I have already registered, but now I can’t attend? Please contact the AHLA office directly at 1-888-436-6112 and we will process your cancellation or transfer your registration. Please note that no refunds will be accepted after April 15th, however, delegate substitutions are welcomed.
I’m not a member of the AHLA. Can I still attend? The AHLA Convention & Trade Show is for AHLA members or invited guests only. If you are not a member, please contact the AHLA office with your special request.
What is the dress code for convention? Business Casual, with the exception on the Housekeeping Awards Gala and Chairman’s Dinner, which are cocktail attire.
Can my children attend? Children may attend the convention and trade show with their parents. However, in order to attend and participate in any of the meals, they will be required to register and pay the applicable fees.
When and where is the Trade Show? The Trade Show takes place Sunday April 15th, 5:00pm – 9:00pm and Monday April 16th, 10:00am – 1:30pm in the Great Hall and Beauvert Room.
Do I have to register for the convention if I just want to attend the Trade Show? Yes. There are individual prices to attend the trade show on Sunday or Monday.
